In our Early Years department, we have been celebrating Diwali. The children have been listening to stories about Diwali and made Diyas, lanterns and rangoli pictures with coloured rice.
One of our parents came to talk to our Reception children about how and why they celebrate Diwali. Another parent came into our playgroup class to do some henna patterns on our children’s hands, to help the children understand and celebrate festivals from other cultures.
