Year 8 students are learning about plate tectonics and this includes volcanoes. A competition was set up to create either a volcano model or a volcano cake to show what a volcano looks like. The entries were amazing and winners from each category were chosen. Well
In 1A we are reading about Percy the Park Keeper and we are learning about recycling. We went for a picnic in the park and recycled the rubbish into different bins. We also made recycling posters to share with the school.
Like every year, the youngest children at the British School of Tenerife had an amazing time running around the school with their “cacharros” following the local tradition. They made them at home with their families and brought them to school to show their teachers and friends.
Year 4 have been having a lot of fun experimenting and investigating with electricity. We have tried being electricians making components work, testing what materials are conductor or insulators and making our own switches. We have even tried being inventors, designing our own torches.
Last Wednesday, Year 5 students visited Las Teresitas Beach and had a wonderful and exciting outdoor experience. They had the opportunity to carry out several fun watersports such as kayaking, paddle surfing and snorkeling. On the sand they enjoyed activities such as volley ball and football.
