On Monday March 21st, the Year 10 PE students visited the Real Gym in Los Realejos. Fran Hernández Vargas, Real Gym’s owner, treated us very kindly and gave the students an explanation on the use of the different professional fitness machines available at his gym. Furthermore, he led us around the Gym’s facilities and surprised us with a series of burpees at the endo of our visit.
On Tuesday March 22nd we received a second visit from Pablo Alfayate, who is a professional Badminton player from La Blume in Madrid (Training Centre for professional athletes) with many national titles behind his name. During his coaching session he offered the students technical advice, instructed them during the activities and gave them pointers to be able to improve towards their official IGCSE exams next year.
