In Year 3, children really begin to spread their wings with an array of exciting, new experiences.
The first important responsibility given is the provision of their own email address. With this, they can access the class blog, where the teachers share information, games, videos, photos, homework and classwork, which means, as a parent, you can share their learning experiences. This is where a greater understanding of Internet safely develops; an essential skill for life.
As well as access to the class blog, their email address can be used to utilise the Microsoft package, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint, on numerous devices.
School Council begins here, with the selection of two responsible children from each class joining the team to help find ways to improve our school.
The Inter-Schools Sports day is a much anticipated event on the school calendar, where Year 3 children have the opportunity to compete in a variety of sporting events against another British school on the island.
More opportunities for outdoor activities include much loved trips to Forestal Park and Cidemat, where they can enjoy water sports and zip wiring.
