Our ” Money week” was a huge success and gave children a foundation for managing their money now and in the future. They were engaged in a range of activities to help develop their understanding of how money is used in everyday life, raise awareness of the benefits of saving and to develop their maths, business, literacy, computing and personal, social and health and well-being skills.
Representatives from a bank came in to discuss banking and taking care of money with our older pupils. They also learned some banking terms such as debt, loan and taxes.
To prepare for the “School Fair”, pupils created business plans and organised loans from the school for their enterprises such as Mehndi hand painting and slime making stalls as well as many more.
The children greatly enjoyed the day and we raised 473€ to spend on playground equipment.
