Year 4 went on a wonderful trip around La Orotava where they had the opportunity to go into the town hall and learn all about the important work that is carried out there and some history about the town hall and the area. Then we went to the Casa de Los Balcones, where we learnt all about the important traditions in the area more specifically the making of the sand carpets. We were also extremely lucky to meet Mohamed Osman the great artist who depicts the historical heritage sights and the traditions of La Orotava and the area in his paintings. He spoke to us about his art and what it is like to be an artist. He even looked at our paintings and gave us advice. Finally, we had a lot of fun playing in the park. We had a lovely time learning all about the history and traditions from La Orotava. After this trip we truly felt inspired and motivated to learn more.
