At the British International School of Tenerife, we believe that integrating academic and non-academic activities into our students’ lives builds confidence, resilience, and independence. To support this vision, we offer the Junior Duke Award program for Phase 3 pupils who wish to challenge themselves beyond the classroom.

Participants in the Junior Duke Award program complete 10 out of 14 diverse challenges, which include essential life skills such as First Aid, Drama, Cooking, Preparing Meals, Ironing, Swimming, and more. These challenges are designed to be engaging and practical, helping students to develop a wide range of abilities that will serve them well throughout their lives.

By participating in this program, our students not only gain valuable skills but also experience a sense of accomplishment and pride in their achievements. The program encourages them to step out of their comfort zones, try new things, and discover their potential in a supportive and nurturing environment.
